Philip Goldson
International Airport

International Flights & Airlines

With eight international airlines offering service to Belize, it’s more convenient and affordable than ever before to travel to this hidden jewel. From the USA, it’s an easy day’s journey to Belize where English is the official language, the Caribbean Sea is more shades of blue than you previously imagined and the world of the ancient Maya comes to life.

Located in Belize City, the Philip S. W. Goldson Airport (PGIA), travel code BZE, is the only international airport in the country. From the moment that you disembark the plane onto the tarmac, you know you’re not in Kansas anymore. The tropical warmth and bird song let you settle into your Belize holiday at once.

The airlines that serve Belize are American Airlines, Delta, SunCountry, Tropic Air, United. With the recent addition of new airline carriers, the flight schedule in and out of Belize is more robust than in the past. Below is a table of the daily flights.

In addition to these international flights, there are daily domestic flights offered by Maya Island Air and Tropic Air. These hopper flights utilize the PGIA as well as several airstrips located throughout Belize. A local flight from PGIA to San Pedro airstrip is a popular way to arrive to Ambergris Caye. Not only are these flights a quick and affordable way to zip around the country, the views really can’t be beat. You’ll gain a greater appreciation of the Belize Barrier Reef as it hugs the shoreline of the country, and in less than 20-minutes, you’ll touch down in San Pedro.
