Five (5) Fantastic Ideas for a Wedding in Belize
There are always those, looking for the unconventional wedding location for the non-traditional wedding.  This is where Belize excels!  Couples can take advantage of Belize's vast natural wonders for one-of-a-kind wedding sites and backdrops. Whether you decide do say "I do" on top of a Maya temple or underneath the waters surface in scuba gear, you'll never forget a destination wedding in this ecologic wonderland.  Here are five suggestions for unconventional weeding backdrops in Belize to tie the knot.

IDEA #1 - Elope to Belize & get married on top a Mayan Temple

Atop a Mayan Temple in Belize, you become part of thousands of years of Belizean history.  Each ruin is tucked neatly away in the jungle, untouched by modernization.  Each of the various Mayan ruins excavated sites provides a unique setting for couples seeking an intimate ceremony.  Because these sites are protected by the Belize government, they're best suited for small groups, usually comprising of the bride, groom, justice of the peace, and photographer.

IDEA #2 - Get Married Underwater - Second Largest Barrier Reef in the World!

Belize is one of the world's foremost diving destinations.  It offers diving for advanced, intermediate and novice divers, who are seeking a wedding far from the norm.  Underwater in some of the governmental marine reserves, are hundreds of vibrant coral and diverse marine life of all kinds, packed neatly into various locations.  Because of this, these diving sites, make for wonderful locations for an underwater weddings. 

IDEA #3 - On Top The Waters Surface

Couples interested in a seascape background, surrounded by acres of lush green lawns, will love this setting for a wedding.  Caye Chapel is a private island in northern Belize, offering the country's only 18-hole golf course.  Covering a mere 265 acres, just 12 miles of the coast, this private tropical island features ocean views, open green lawns, a 25,000 square foot clubhouse, private accommodations, swimming pool, marina, dock, airstrip for a momentous day.

IDEA #5 - Before the Falls

Nature lovers will love this Belize wilderness landscape to say "I do"  on the outlook balcony of the Thousand Foot Falls.   Thousand Foot falls over looks the densely forested hillside of the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve.  It is one of Central America's tallest waterfalls, which cascades nearly 1,600 feet into to a deep pool below.  This outlook balcony point, is located about seven hundred yards from the falls, allowing for magnificent views, an awe-inspiring sight that's a perfect complement for any special ceremony.
