OWN IN BELIZE

This is a new feature to our website, and you will see this page develop over time.  Here you can read interviews of key or special individuals who make our island unique.  Additionally, we would like you to meet some of the individuals, who have decided to
"Buy in Belize", and why they choose to make this investment.

SAN PEDRO MAYORESS - Elsa Paz

Picture
Mayor Elsa Paz invites you, to come "Own In Belize"

San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize District, is a romantic paradise, which has developed into the most popular tourist destination in Belize. Palm fringed beaches, tropical breezes and turquoise-colored water set the stage. A laid-back, casual atmosphere sets the pace. The island's friendly untroubled environment makes it enjoyable for the young and the young at heart.

The great Barrier Reef, the world's second largest, lies just about one quarter of a mile from San Pedro's lovely sandy beaches. The surrounding water is a Mecca for scuba divers, fishing and water sports enthusiasts. San Pedro's biggest asset is it's most friendly and helpful people who eagerly await your visit.

When in San Pedro feel free to stop and visit the mayor, Mayoress Elsa Paz, if you need any assistance or information.  Her direct line is 501-226-3711 (fax 501-226-2492) or e-mail (sptb@btl.net).

John & Jan Turley, Colorado USA - We own in Belize

Picture
Hi, our names are John & Jan Turley.  We bought in Belize, because our grandkids live here.  So not sure if our purchase counts (smile).   We have been coming to Belize for about 5 years now, and make the trek about 2-3 times a year.

We just love it, and we can now appreciate why our son wanted to move here.  In coming down these past few years, we have created a network of friendships with other owners, who also have decided to "Buy in Belize".  We enjoy connecting via email and then seeing each other here in Belize.

I enjoy watching my husband walking around city streets, shaking hands with just about everyone he sees.  We love San Pedro and I am especially attracted to the "little fishing village" feel that this place has.  I like that most of the commercial buildings on front street are old, and that each storekeeper has chosen to paint his shop a different color.  I appreciate that I can approach the town mayor on the street and share a handshake together.   So yes, we bought in Belize, and will be coming here for many years to come.
